Paraiso Tropical Cabarete-Walking distance to surf?« on: September 17 2009 08:09:00 »
I'm looking for an All-Inclusive resort that is within a short walk of the main break at Encuentro.
I'm thinking of staying at this hotel:
Celuisma Paraiso Tropical Cabarete.
Does anyone know if it is walking distance to the surf in Encuentro?
Does anyone know of any other All-Inclusive resorts nearby that are walking distance to decent waves?

Why would you want to stay in an all inclusive hotel in Cabarete in the first place?

About 6 miles to Encuentro.
There's some mediocre beach break close to that hotel

The only reason I'm looking at All-Inclusive hotels is due to the price.
To fly to Puerto Plata from the UK costs around £400-£500.
All-Inclusive deals for 14 nights cost around £600-£700 - depending on which hotel you stay in - obviously, this amount includes flights and food/drinks whilst at the hotel.
Do you know the exact location of this hotel - could you please post a link showing it's location on Google maps?
Or, are you saying that the town of Cabarete is 6 miles from Encuentro?

No the hotel is 5 miles east of Cabarete, and then it's another 1 mile to Encuentro
