Thinking of a trip to the Dominican Republic in July/August, Magic Seaweed says the seasonal average for that time is 3-4ft does anyone know what its like? would it be consistent and could we get some good surf?

Normal size in summer time is indeed between waist and shoulder high. Although last year we had a large number of hurricanes going north of us, giving us overhead to double obverhead waves and sunny conditions.
