Any nice place known for a surfer and his non-surfing girl?

« on: September 03 2006 07:09:00 »

I would like to go with my surfer-boyfriend on a nice trip to south or middle america (I thought about Costa Rica in first place, but I am not sure, if it's too price). Then Ecuador and Galapagos came into my mind. I am looking for a fairly priced place, where there is also nice thing to do for me nearby (such as for instance diving, snorkling and also other things out of the water, i.e. nice sites to visit nearby). Could any one help?

Galapagos is an amazing place to go. Just try to arrange it all on your own.. no cruises or packages. SanCristobal is a small Island with a lot of things to do. Stay at Hotel Orca...try to find info online and make reservations. I think you can call them it's better. The manager speaks english and will hook you up with tours. Like swimming with sea lions, snorkeilng, visiting volcanoes, etc.
In mainland the route of the sun has so much to offer. Drive after Montanita by the Rain Forest...there's a cool town called Ayampe. And a hotel "cabanas La tortuga" they have a website. The owner also speaks English, and he can help you with some tours. Have fun!! Ecuador is an amazing place my husband and I have been 3 times this past year and are ready for trip #4 in February. Good luck!
