Best airport to fly into for easy access to waves/board...« on: July 04 2008 12:07:00 »
My wife works for one of the airlines so we can fly into either of the International airports Quito/Guayaquil standby based on availability.
If both options are open, which woud be the quickest easiest choice to line up a board and get to some decent waves?
It will be a short trip so time is of the essence...we will have about 5-6 days.
Also any advice on recommendations for places to stay with a nonsurfing wife would be great.
thanks in advance...I look forward to visiting Ecuador.

You should fly into Guayaquil and then you should go to MOntañita that is a fun place for both surfers and others. What you really shoul do if just have 5-6 days is to take a tour so that you can go surfing and see other things as well. I went with tour company Sweet surf and it was great! It was more then just surfing like visitng small villages with no tourist, snorkel and other things. The guide is great! For prices check out their site: www.sweetsurfecuador.com
