RE: Balsa stand up paddleboards« Reply #1 on: December 17 2009 10:12:00 »
Hi there, I have been surfing for 30 years and started with paddleboard (SUP) early this year after a great experience in Oahu. There is a few paddle boarders in Ecuador to be honest I have not seen any other. I bought my board from Wayo Whillar an experienced shaper from Peru who is represented by my brother Pachin in Ecuador (you can try in www.wayowhilar.com.pe) but I don’t know if he works with “balsa”. Another well recognized shaper in Ecuador is El Gringo Andres located in town Playas (try in www.balsaflite.com ) he is experienced working with balsa long boards but not shaping paddleboards. Suerte!
