surf october/november« on: September 14 2010 14:09:00 »
I've four weeks booked off work from the 23rd of October. Flying to ecuador first but would like to also take in north peru for surf. Would be good if I could get some advice on a good itinerary. Also if you're doing the same and would like someone to find waves with give me a shout. I'm from Ireland and an intermediate surfer. looking forward to some warm water waves.

If you're flying into Quito, I would start with the north coast of ecuador, drive or bus south until around mantanita, then go straight down to northern peru. some amazing waves down there. world citizen surf has both ecuador and peru surf maps which i've used. they're not amazing but they let you know how to get to some really good surf breaks.

come check us out http://www.facebook.com/#!/Lobitosperu that is out facebook page Piscinas Surf House. Also if you would like and idea of what the waves are doing on a daily basis go to surfline and check out the surf report for lobitos daily pictures and report. Getting to peru from ecuador is very easy take a bus out of guayaquil to mancora or tumbes there are a few options prices range from 11 to 35 USD depending on your preference of comfort. Also my email is firstname.lastname@example.org if you have any other questions I'll be glady to help! Cheers, Bryan

Check out Ayampe, the most consistent surf on the coast of Ecuador guaranteed and also situated between some of the best point breaks as well. Small town and only a handful of hotels and restaurants but if you are looking to chill and just surf this is the place. Try staying at Bungalows La Buena Vida which is built for surfers, you can visit: www.surflabuenavida.com for info... Safe travels !
