There are a few choices of where to stay, the 2 main camps which are right in front of El Zonte break is Horizonte and Essencia Nativa. I stayed at Horizonte Surf Camp last year and would HIGHLY recommend it. It was a cleaner than essencia but IMO essencia did have better food. Sunzal is right down the road from El Zonte, you can easily catch a ride with someone. I might be traveling there in August again, still debating. Send me an email if you want more info.

By this time of year Horizontes has room for people showing up without making an online reservation.
