km59 - place to stay?

hi, i am going to el salvador in a good week, i am looking (like anybody else?) for as perfect waves as possible with as few people as possible (and sure as cheap as possible). i am wondering if el tunco is better than el zonte? is there safe accomodation at km 59 and is it a consistent wave? thanks,
best greetings andi

RE: km59 - place to stay?

i can recomend to you El Tunco beach, because  the wavea are much better than the  km 59's waves, they are consistent waves y are laygest.
El tunco beach is cheapest and the security is better, it's the best surfing beach in El Salvador

RE: km59 - place to stay?

I grew up surfing in El Salvador and go every year. El tunco is okay, but not the best..crow and more for begginers... you can easily surf all surf spots in a week in El Salvador, but my top accomodation spots and surf order are.

west coast K59, Zonte, Punta Roca and sunzal (tunco) East Coast: Las flores and Punta mango.

I'm good friend with the owners of k59surftours this is a very exclusive (private) affordable place to stay right on the surf break.I can even get you a big discount 15%+ you'll love k59, than move on to punta roca surf resort and move your way up to the east side of the country. contact me for more information. frisel at elsalvador dot com.

RE: km59 - place to stay?

sure a discount will be good for that cheap place with expensive prices, the wave is very nice and good, similar than Zonte, not that consistence like Sunzal, but is better just to surf one day at k59 and stay in other place with more options like Playa El Tunco or Zonte. the surfcamp is just a guy making a lot of money telling to the people that is private but is not
