If your worried about negative things that other people have written about El Sal on this forum, just remember that there  are a lot of other countries in central america (i.e. costa rica) that are competing for tourism with El Salvador.  Read the hundreds of experiences that people have had in El Sal here http://www.travelblog.org/Central-America-Caribbean/El-Salvador/  at least now you can see an unbiased opinion of people who have actually been there.

Hey bud,

I am from Toronto and I am keen on checking out El Salv for a week in June (prob June 20- 26).

Right now looking at SunzalPoint surf hostal, though their responces on their emails to me leave too much to the imagination.

I am a beginner/ Intermediate surfer.  I would be interested in meeting up and saving costs, budget is tight!
