im going to be in london through middlesbrough in late october any good spots to hit and what size board dont want to haul mine to expensive

You really need to have a car. if you are travelling up to Middlesborough there are plenty of good spots along the Yorkshire coast - head for Scarborough for starters _ cayton Bay is good, North of that is Newcastle Upon Tyne - Tynemouth - both areas have surf shops to hire/buy gear. All along that coast you will can get Good surf, around October its going to average 2-4ft, later on in the year the storms come on and the size can really go up. Temperature is going to be around 5-8c. If you have the time etc you can explore Scotland for remote reefs and beautiful uncrowded options
