South of France Surfing« on: July 17 2005 15:07:00 »
I am totally new to the surfing thing - aged 56 - have been this weekend out there and want more. Just to be able to stand on the thing would be a success lol. Going to Woolacombe at the weekend to try down there. Oh! Been in the north east, had the lessons from some lovely people but want more ( if I repeat myself - its an age thing)
Anyway, going to Perpignan in September - booked holiday before I got the Bug, but cant find anywhere in the Med. This site shows 9 sites for surfing, the map shows the Med but only links to 8 areas and guess what? yes! the Med is missing (chewing knuckles now, head banged on wall and the dog has given up asking for its food) and before you ask I have tried other sites!
I cant believe the Med is bereft of surf sites?
If you know better, be good to hear from you

I recently went on Business to Israel, the coast next to Tel Aviv is the Med and the surf was booming... also Tel Aviv is the most amazing city I have ever been to. well worth checking out.
