is my surfboard too small?

« on: May 18 2009 09:05:00 »

hey guys,

im 6' 3" and weigh 85Kg. i ride both cornwall and france for a good couple of months every year.

ive got a 7' 2" funboard but while i love how easy it is to get waves i feel like ive already outgrown it.

ages ago, before i knew anything about surfing i bought a 6" fish from a mate for nearly nothing.

ive taken it out a load of times but find myself having to paddle like a demon to get onboard and often nose dive  when i do.

i thought that i would just get used to it but my progress has been very slow.

should i make do and find a way with this board or just bite the bullet and shell out for something appropriate?

any advice? thankyou in advance!
