I'm going to stay in the yasawa islands and haven't heard to much about the surf there. Should i bring my board?

Have you gone yet?  Did you find surf?  I am going in June by boat.  Any suggestions for surf in the Yasawas?

Hi there. The surf is not as prevelent in the Yasawas as it is in the Tavarua/Namotu or Coral Coast regions. Navutu Stars Resort advertises that there is surfing but it is mainly breaking in the off months Nov-march...

I'm a beginning surfer :-) and was thinking about bringing my longboard to the Yasawas. Is it worth it, or are the waves to big for me?
