Mate, I surfed there for a week straight last June/July. I was there to work with the local people and surfed each day. I was there a week after Laird and the boys surfed coludbreak at 15ftplus. The waves were always at least shoulder high and fun. The paddle out at most reef passes is at least 10 minutes and it is definitely for the inexperienced! Hollow and powerful, but there are some fun waves that break closer in and are very playful. These spots require a bigger swell but can be fun small.

Where did you surf on Koro? I am going to Dere Bay Resort in June. It would be great to know where to look for surf!
Mahalo Nui Loa,

Do you have any details on where the surf is on Koro and what swell conditions /time of year etc.
It would make the search a little easier once i am there

i have lived on koro island in fiji for almost 3 years. generally there is no surf to speak of. on a high tide during full moon with help of a south swell, a wave or two has been ridden. my daughter caught 2 waves last year during the forementioned conditions. i hear the closest surf spot is on taveuni, i haven't been there yet, but will get there eventually.

This is Neil from Colorodo, we met on my first trip to Koro about a year and a half ago. I noticed your property is for sale, it looks great. Can't imagine Koro without you though, hope all is well. I would love to keep in touch, feel free to email me anytime.
