How was your trip? Were there any waves near Plantation Island? My husband is a surfer and we are going there in September. I thought the resort was nice, but he's a bit nervous there aren't any breaks near it. What were your experiences like?

Hi Karen, i really enjoyed my time at plantation island. there are 2 close breaks - namotu lefts and wilkes. Cost is $40 per return boat trip, you get approx 3 hours in the waves. Speak to Manasa at plantation island. he posts surf times on the local acitivity board daily so you cant miss out. have fun. jason

Gidday Jason, How was the Plantation Island resort? Myself, my wife and 23 month old girl are going there in August on the way back from the States. What's the deal with the accomodation? I've read that the cheaper bures and hotel rooms and sh_t...?
How crowded was Wilkes? What about Namotu? Are non Namotu guests only allowed to surf it on Saturdays like Tavarua.
