What do you consider good surf? Chest high? Overhead? 3 overhead?

Fiji can have good surf. If you find the right spot, it'll go off all year round because it cranks with almost no swell. I've been there twice in January (02, 03) and in feb (99, 01) and I gotta say it was wicked at the right break. Clouds is a little tempremental, but if you want to do it cheap, theres a break along the coral coast called the bowl, or bowls, it only needs a couple of feet to be hollow, fast and long. Its pretty much the safest bet.

Hey mate, where is the bowl/bowls...
I might be stopping in Fiji for a few days at the end of december and am wondering where to go on the hunt for waves.
Flashing on even heading over to Tavarua for a night or two but am thinking it could be fickle and expensive to do this?
