My husband has been told that unless you stay at somewhere like Tavarua you can't surf many good spots because they are exclusive to these types of resorts. We have a 3 kids so we don't want to stay at a surf camp - thinking of staying on Plantation Island - what are your thoughts?

Tavarua does have the right to Cloudbreak and Restaurants but there are plenty of other waves.
Go to Plantation Island for the kids...heaps to do.
You can surf Wilkes and Desperations from Castaway, Musket Cove or Plantation Island with Little Johhny in his boat for about 40 bucks FJD (60 from Castaway).Reassure your husband that he will get quality waves and warm water in possible the most beatiful setting...get to it.

Hi Tim, going in April for Honeymoon, saying at Musket Cove, husband to be would love to surf the best over there, he's very experienced and I think I've heard him mention Cloudbreak and Restaurants before..?.. Trying to buy it as a surprise, you mentioned you can get transfers out there with 'Little Johnny' for about $40 FJD, how do I make contact and book before we go? Thanks!
