What/ Where to surf in Fiji« on: May 27 2005 18:05:00 »
We are planning a trip to Fiji and not sure of where we will stay just yet. I am experienced, but probably intermmiate skill and like about head high (max) surf for new areas. Can someone summarize surf spots, size etc or direct me to a site for this information?

Mate, head to Nadi if you want waves.
Heaps of backpackers/hostels which are clean, tidy and cheep.
If you want luxury there is all the big names in nadi (sheraton, marriot)
All the best waves are between 5 and 20 minutes by boat from nadi. The waves include lefts and rights. There best spots( cloudbreak) are exclusive to the island so you cant surf it unless you stay on tavarua island.
Wave height varies depending on swell but if its to big in some areas there are other spots to go which are smaller.
All the hotels have the info on getting to and form the waves by boat so dont worry about pre booking.
