Budget Fiji« on: August 09 2004 18:08:00 »
Hey, I'll be travelling to fiji (alone) in october and was wondering if its possible to surf fiji on a minimal budget. i don't have any reservations for lodging, and it seems like resorts are the only way to go. is there hostels or hotels that are cheaper on the wallet? what about chartering rides out to surf? do i have to be a guest at a resort? any other tips? thanks.

I agree...they have budget dorms at seashells. That would probably be ideal for you.

mate fiji is wicked so best of luck out there. Rendezvous is a really good resort i stayed there. It costs $50 a day (about £20) but u get 3 really nice meals. It cost also $40 for a boat ride out to the big breaks. If u stay at a place called sea shells u get to use the beach break for free but its not big and busy but the hostal is cheapper but u dont get 3 meals i think u get 2 meals not sure.
keep up the surfing
