Any one tried Stand up paddle in Fiji« on: April 14 2009 19:04:00 »
Has anyone tried SUP surfing in Fiji? I would be keen to try over there manly on mellow waves or smaller fast waves.
I wont be hassling other surfers out of waves. Id be targeting some of breaks surfers could'nt be bothered with.
If the breaks are crowded Id leave the paddle board at home and stick with the surfboard.
Any info is much appreciated!

Depending on where you will be staying. Good spot for SUP's is at Natadola when the conditions are on! My husband and I hire out SUP's in Fiji at Robinson Crusoe Island (just round from Natadola) but it's more calm water there. They also have SUP's for hire at a few surf resorts in the Mammanuca Islands. Check before you bring your board as air freight charges can be high and I don't need to tell you how the baggage handlers treat your precious board!! You can email at any time for more info.
