Biarritz« on: August 07 2006 18:08:00 »
A couple buddies and myself are headed down to Biarritz around mid September. Will a place to stay need to be booked in advance. Looking for something cheap but not planning on camping. Any thoughts of places to stay would be most appreciated. Also if the hotel or hostel is a ways from the beach does Biarritz have a good bus system or how does one need to get to the beach? Any thoughts would be great. Thank you.

You'd better book, September is a fairly popular time for surf trips in Biarritz.
You can stay in the "auberge de jeunesse" in Anglet. It is a backpacker style accomodation.
Check their website.
It's fun and right on the Anglet beaches (2km north of Biarritz, and with better waves)

Hey, man, I am planning on going also on the 16 to Biarritz or Hossegor, but I cannot find anything cheap on the net. My fear is that there will be no places to stay.
If you have heard some tips, or wanna share a cheap place just let me know. My e-mail: email@example.com
Cheers, and nice waves.

My girlfriend and I will also be traveling through the Biarritz area somewhere in the timeframe of Sept. 10-16th. We're looking for any info we can get. Specifically, we're interested in where we can get boards in the area and what pricing will be. We'll be traveling through other parts of Europe, so bringing our boards with us on the trip will be pretty cumbersome and expensive. We also have no plans yet as to where we'll be staying. I guess we're just winging it. So if any of you find any cheap accomodations close to the beach, or if you'd just like to grab a beer (or beers) or explore the breaks with us, drop me a line (firstname.lastname@example.org).

Hey, Mike and I are in Hossegor at the moment - just north of Biarritz. If you are interested we saw aj ob advertised for cleaning (8 hours a week) at a village de vacances. Comes with accomodation and is for July and August. It is the L'Oceanes village de vacances and is close to the Lake. There are three positions available at the moment. I dont think there are many/ any other jobs offering accomodation so I'd get in there quick if you are interested.
