Surfing in Nice

« on: January 27 2005 14:01:00 »

Just wondering if there's any surfable waves around Nice, France. I'll be there around mid-May and though this isn't my main reason for going, it'd be nice to get a little wet. Thanks!

don't think so. you have to head to the southwest area of  france. that  place definitely gets waves as they have a worldwide surfing competition there. yeah nice aint so nice for the surf.

Nope, can't, been there several times, it's a little easier to find them closer to Biarritz, and it's not that far, just abt 20mins from Nice by the TGV. Have been there last summer, and friend lives around Cannes....Nice is just 'nice' and nothing but a rocky pebble beach...but clear waters. Good luck! WF

Wendy:

No way is it only 20 minutes to Biarritz from Nice; even by TGV. You can barely make it to Marseilles in 20 mins.
