i ve been in antibes for a couple of weeks and i have seen some smallish waves and a couple of guys out.
still dont know if it is worth it bringing the gear.
if anyone has got some info please let me know

don't think so. you have to head to the southwest area of france. that place definitely gets waves as they have a worldwide surfing competition there. yeah nice aint so nice for the surf.

Nope, can't, been there several times, it's a little easier to find them closer to Biarritz, and it's not that far, just abt 20mins from Nice by the TGV. Have been there last summer, and friend lives around Cannes....Nice is just 'nice' and nothing but a rocky pebble beach...but clear waters. Good luck! WF

No way is it only 20 minutes to Biarritz from Nice; even by TGV. You can barely make it to Marseilles in 20 mins.
