October 9th, 2007 - Oct 21st, 2007 Traveling Through France

I will be traveling through SW of France starting Oct. 9th '07 and making my way down to Portugal, as I fly out of Lisbon, Oct 21st '07.  I will be surfing all the way down the coast, and am looking for people to meet up with.  My plan is to surf throughout France until the 14th of October, and then head over to Mundaka, just missing the Billabong ASP contest there.  Hopefully all the pros will have left, because I don't want to be challenging them for waves.

If anyone knows of a less expensive, budget friendly way to make this trip, I am in need of some advice.  Will campgrounds still be open this time of year?

Thanks for your help,

Ryan James

The last campsites are open until around the 15th of October but depending on the weather which seems to be pretty nuts at the moment i wouldn't suggest tenting it beyond the end of sept as it gets bloody cold here at nights. I can set you up with some cheap accommodation if you like, Carwyn Williams rents out beds for 25 euros a night, I rent out a room with a double bed in a flat at Seignosse Les Bourdaines (50 meters from the beach!!!) for 30 euros a night. Get in touch if you're interested. Paddy
