There's a few good ones in and around Hossegor, close to surf spots. North in places like Mimizan, Biscarosse will be cheaper than around Biarritz (although there's a reasonably priced one in Bidart)

Just got back from france and it was so expensive,we tried to do it on the cheap(camping and supermarkets) and we went trought 1500 pounds in 3 weeks. The best campsite are les grand pins lacanau, les bourdaines seignoss, birritz campsite and mundaka campsite. They range from 14-22 euros a night(11 17 pounds). But i would reconmend to take tin and packet food with you.
Have a good one.
