ola, friends. i am an american surfer (from Folly Beach, SC, intermediate skills) heading to france oct 9 by way of paris. i want to see the louvre again, then i want to surf! i see that the best surfing is on the NW coast--cote des basques? can i rent a decent long board when i get there? how do i find an inexpensive place to stay (cabina style?). could i camp and would i have to bring my own gear? should i rent a car or try to drive over from paris? a week is not enough time to get down to the aix en provence area, i suppose. credit cards or travelers cheques? if all this sounds precipitous, it is. ; } merci, katerina
