Surfing Mediterrainean Sea (Is it possible?)« on: August 18 2009 14:08:00 »
I'm heading down to St Rapheal, near Nice and Toulon, South of France on the 1 Sep 2009. I've been doing some research and have discovered that it is possible to score some waves there, however I don't believe it.
I'm going on a holiday with the family, so its not a surf trip.
But I'm frothin for a wave... So if I can score a 2ft wave i'll be stoked, considering the area.
Just wanted to know if anyone had some knowledge on the area or about the Med Sea.
That way I'd know whether to lug the board around or not.

mate, you just have to be lucky, there are waves but the med isn't big and lows aren't very consistant so it makes for low periods and small, small waves. i've surfed in malaga and israel and on both occasions it was autumn, but you never know.
