RE: any waves in honduras?« Reply #1 on: March 20 2006 02:03:00 »
Went there two years ago. No waves on the Carribean side and only a tiny part is on Pacific. I dis not see any but I bet there is a spot even though it is pretty sheltered. Out of all the coumtries I have traveled to Honduras was one of my absoluete favorites. It is worth few waves to go. Also El Salavdor has tons of waves and is a hop from there

carribean side, november, longest perfect shaped right hand point break I have seen, one continuous barrel, at least 400 yards, sand spit point with 180 degree wrap, 8-12 on the outside-3-4 at the end ( petering out before an old pier)
I watched it upclose from a comercial boat that had to make an emergency lay up overnight in this remote desolate bay. Literally perfect shaped wave. Use the hints above and goggle earth and you will find it. Pier is rebuilt and is now cement and two new whareshouses seem to have sprouted. I will get back there before I die.
