Gold Coast Surf Season« on: August 30 2007 12:08:00 »
When is the ideal time to catch a good swell on the Goldy? Ive only been there from January to May and it seems that April is the best, but Im coming back in December and want to know what the surf is like then. Is it pretty flat at that time of year?

Unfortunately december is prone to northerly winds and subsequent flat spells. It is, however, it is a very reliable area so you will definately score at least a few good sessions if you are there for more than a week or so. Just don't get your hopes up for wicked point waves, the beachies are definatley the go that time of year
