Gday everyone, heading to San Diego for 2 weeks at the end of April. Going to be staying at a hostel right on Pacific beach. I heard La Jolla can go off, what are the waves like this time of year? Any other good breaks in this area? Cheers and happy surfing

I would tell you but I have to kill you...lol! jokes!.. go to mission beach or stay at pacific beach that's where all the tourist hang out due to bars. just don't go to south mission beach by the rocks. the guys there don't like tourist. enjoy!

Hey Steve-0, Yes I heard San Clemente is a hell good spot, do you recommend this spot over Pacific beach? I'll be coming from the Amtrac in L.A. so its not a big deal for me to spend a couple days at the hostel there as well. You have a shop ay? I left my board back at the Gold Coast in Oz with my roomates, so I'll be needing to buy another thruster. As for the moment I am in Canada enjoying the snow fields.

Why not come out to Black Rock, Windansea, or the Shores? We'll give you a welcome that's only second to what West Side Oahu gives 'guests'! Better yet, go to Swami's and get enlightened!

lol! you're funny John... you made it sound like OB is like hawaii... Im sure he'll bump into some bad seeds but not all are like that. just don't go to the bar right next to the pier parking. I see people get stab there all the time (tourist or lokals).

amen to that John!...Im gald DAGO chopper's shop is no longer there... they would create trouble for everyone. OB was like GHETTO for white people back in the days.

Thanks for the advise mates, won't be spending any time at ocean beach now. I thought Trestles was furter up the coast but seeing as how it is so close ill definately be hitting that up. What is the best way to travel around the city? Is there a bus route that travels along the coastline that I could catch? Or should I ditch the hostel and get me a VW van?
RE: San Diego Surf« Reply #8 on: January 29 2008 10:01:00 »
VAN!... too many crazy people in the bus.

So Juan, BLOB 666, Beta bitch, you think you know about hogs?? If you talked badass about Indian's, not faggy Holley's then I'd take you seriously. If you're not related to San O' Surf Club, you're not welcome and will be escorted back to PCH. San Diego is localz only and POP gets you beaten if you don't support faggy Chargers; Stay home and ride a faggy quad!
