RE: Gold or Sunshine COASTS ?« Reply #1 on: February 26 2008 00:02:00 »
both are good, the Goldy has great pointbreaks but very crowded. The sunny coast has pristine beachies but sometimes inconsistent. On there day, they are both unreal places to live !

Gold Coast is know for its world class breaks but the crowds are horrendous. Sunshine coast can be a bit crowded too but its all about the secret spots. I lived in brisbane for a year so i surfed both pretty regularily. Im in a good mood so ill tell you my 3 favorite spots that dont get overcrowed and are quite good, its your job to find them. 1. ann street reef, 2. coolum beach 3. Double Island right hander (by far the best wave ive ever surfed, no crowds lots of sharks and a perfect point break that can hold big swells
