Well on the big island you'll want to stay away from banyans it's one of the last locals only spot. I don't really know of any spots on Maui that you won't get shit. But on Oahu you should try to stay near the hotels because once you leave the vicinity of your hotel it's a whole different world beleive me, I'm born and raised in hawaii and I've seen one to many haoles travel out into the wrong surf break and either the ana got em or we did. Have a nice trip.

Puna man, everytime I read the Hawaii post's you always have something negative and aggressive to say. Ever considered anger managment or have you read "How to stop acting like an a-hole and influence people" Chill out mate. Maybe you should get out more and see other people share and do actually get on. Peace.. From a Scottish surfer.

PART ONE...thanks for the advice that i did not need puna. i did not ask for a diatribe of shit about where i will get my head punched in. what i asked for was where there was some nice easy stuff that i could play on.. From what i have seen 3 ft is preety small for over there so i imagine that most of the locals that can surf will be on the more advanced breaks.. I try to do the right thing and ask advice which gives locals the chance to recomend some spots that I will be out of their way and what do I get from you.. nothing but grief..

Part two.. puna.. There are 19 breaks within 15 kms of where i live and we are one hour from a city so we have to deal with
tourists all the time, getting narky at them gets no one no where. instewad we point them to the gentell breaks and keepthe good ones a secret. we dont tell others of them but that they should away. Finally puna remember karma.if you a bastard to others it will come back to bite you on the arse.. so please where are some nice fun breaks in april where i wont get in your way.. here is a chance for you to do something good...

Hey I would be nice too if tourists had'nt exploided hawaii. There are no secret breaks on Oahu the surf maps show all of them. Second sorry I didn't mean to be dick, there are a few breaks depending on what the swells are doing town might be breaking (just stay away from kaisers and bowls, there are worst a-holes there than me), most likely country will still be cranking (north shore) you can surf Laiakea, Haleiwa, or Puena Point; it most definantly won't be 3 ft though more like 6-8 ft fast and bowling. When are you going to be here? I can be your guide if you'd like, for free too; i promise I won't be a dick. Only catch is I'm 15 so I can't drive but I know Oahu like the back of my hand and a few parts of Maui. My e-mail is huelo_boy2yahoo.com.

Cheers puna that advice is much more usefull.. Thanks for the offer of the guided tour but since i am on my honeymoon i am not sure how often i will be allowed (or able) to surf, if you know what i mean.. I am trying to buy a surf map and i will check out your recomendations.. If anybody else has recomendations they would be greatly welcomed. Cheers again puna, thanks for having the courage to post a decent reply..
