The swell in the Algarve only reaches the south west corner so I'd stay on the Lagos area and drive west to the different breaks. Or stay in Sagres, or the cool little village Pedralva

there are several options in the Algarve are. All in the west coast as said before. You have Arrifana, Amado, Bordeira and other beaches to discover. June is a month of small swells so look up for more exposed beaches like Bordeira and Arrifana. And always remember if you need to rent a campervan in Portugal you can count with Portugal by van.
