Beginner surfboards without blasting my budget« on: November 12 2013 03:11:00 »
Some friends of mine and I are planning on doing an internship in Honolulu, and during our stay we wanted to go surfing. We're all beginners (a few of us have surfed already, but not much), and we'll be staying for about 4 to 6 weeks.
So I was wondering, what should we do about surfboards? Funboard all month long? Rent funboards for a week then buy longboards? Basicaly what's the best deal for a beginner without destroying our budgets.
I searched around a little and most shops rent boards for $30 a day, which is way too much for us. Also, we've got no issue with buying used boards.
Thanks for your help :)

Plenty of shops sell used boards or contact a rental place for long term rent, or buying with a buy-back option
