I'm thinkin of going to Hawaii around cristmas time and the first part of january. Any chances of finding some 'empty' surfspots for beginners?! Any tips on cheap accomodation(bungalowes?) How safe is it to go camping?

there's a lot of cheap places in waikiki to stay, just dont get a place next to the beach. if you can sacrifices a few block from the water, that would be awesome. i just got back from waikiki and cant wait to move there by november, just in time for winter. im a begginer myself and cant wait to buy my own board. if you want to learn start in waikiki. if you think you can do it, hike to north shore you'll love it. drop me a note. good luck...

I went to hawaii once in the summertime and there was no empty spots so I'm sure that if you go in the wintertime there really won't be but do what you wanna have fun and aloha
