moving to oahu, need help with ettiquette

I'm a very experienced bodyboarder from socal and moving to the south shore to work at tripler. being from California, I rode a lot of slabs that didn't have anyone on it. I'm not used to the crowds, other than wedge, so I'm just asking for help so I don't get my a$$ handed to me. i'm 21, so I'm still a little young, but have been surfing from the time I could walk. What beaches should I go to for the best barrels, other than pipe, and what beaches should I avoid? I was sponsored for a while, so I know to stay away from competitions and all that good stuff. I'm not arrogant in any way and will give respect to anyone that's in the water.
