big island surfing/snowboarding

« on: March 01 2006 16:03:00 »

A friend and I are coming from oahu to snowboard and surf the big island in the same day, and I was wondering what a good intermediate surf spot would be to put us close enough to get up to the summit by the afternoon.  Also, if anyone knows someone who wants to tag along, that would be great, cause there are only two of us and three would be much better so one can drive after runs.  Or if someone has a covered truck that wants to make a few bucks and just drive, let me know.

probably around the 11th, depending on conditions.  We'll be bringing snowboards, so we're gonna have to rent surfboards I guess, unless we decide to just bring it all.
