surfing in hawaii first timer

« on: June 13 2006 11:06:00 »

I'm a full seasoned snowboarder from Canada, I am also a skater, skimboarder and a surfer. Unfortunately in canada the surfing sucks, I can only surf a couple times a year and its never that big. I am coming to Maui for a few months strictly for a surf trip. Most likely somewhere near Hana, I surfed there when I was a kid and got my assed kicked. Anyway, I was looking for any local advice for someone who is serious about getting better (where to start). I was born with a board under my feet and I know, I know to stay out of a locals way. PEACE
