best winter spots for beginner/intermediate in Maui and Oahu« on: January 13 2005 17:01:00 »
I was wondering what some good spots are in Maui and Oahu for a beginner/intermediate. It's been a few years since I've surfed so it will take me a few days to reaquaint myself.
I'd like recommendations on beaches and/or cheap lessons in Maui or Oahu.
Anyone have any?

I just got back from the north shore.....don't know where you can get lessons, but easy spots with mellow crowds are: waikiki, Chun's reef on a small swell or lanis on a small swell....have fun
