Dodie was my cousin. I was you ng when she left Houston to go surf in Hawaii. I understand she passed away within the last several years from a rare lung disease. If anyone know where her burial site was in Hawaii, would sure appreciate the info so I can pay my respects. She loved surfing, truly her passion. Thanks

Dodie was my good friend from Junior High through High School. We spent many a summer at the beach house in Sargent's. Surfing Sargent's and skiing in Caney Creek. She loved white powdered donuts and chocolate milk. She and I and James Bass were running buddies. Aloha.

Gretchen- that sould like her! I recall she was a free spirit and left Texas in her late teens maybe and went to Hawaii. I think it was because of a boyfriend she had. She did what she loved and I never got to see her again. RIP Cousin.

Dodie was one of my best friends from Texas. We hung out and surfed at Sargent's and lived in Cally in the mid 70's. She was so popular from surfing and skateboarding. We hung out with the people who the movie "The Lords of Dogtown" are about! She came to Hawaii early 80's and blew everybody away with her surfing. She looked me up on Kauai, then went to Oahu to surf semi-pro, got married and had a son, then got divorced. She moved back to Kauai with her mom , Doris, and son,Trevor. She moved to Bend, Oregon and we lost touch.. One day she contacted me telling me she was ill and was moving back to Kauai to live ..She was in the hospital on Mothers' Day and Heidi, her lady friend, and I spent the day with her. That evening she passed away. So sad.
