Local from south lake tahoe to hawaii??« on: March 30 2009 11:03:00 »
I'm 19 and have been living in south lake tahoe for the past 4 years... I live for the snow, and boarding and all that ya know... But i want some sun in my life now. I plan on moving soon with my little lady, but i am a little nervous about how i will do with the locals in hawaii....
I mean, tahoe is kinda like its own small island, just on top of a snowy Mt.
Just try'n to get some info on the topic.. Thanx

just the fact that you said you're nervous means you'll be fine... the ones that have problems are the ones that think they're the shit. just smile, be humble ;)

There are alot of people here from Tahoe as you will find out. Its because having lived in a place like Tahoe one comes to treasure the environment and desires places to live that have those kind features, clean air, water, ect. What you will learn here is that respect and courtesy to others is required more than on the mainland. Its a better way of life and too should be respected. You will not have trouble if you dont put yourself in the wrong place, big partys ect. Those are where the fights are and even locals dont attend them without a crew. Be generous, smile and you will be welcomed into groups of people who will become your friends. Good luck
