G'day to all Indian surf enthusiasts,
I'm an Aussie surfer who will be living and studying in Chennai for 6 months starting in August. hoping to head down to somewhere nearby, maybe aurobeach or around there for a regular surf session every weekend or so. will have my board fresh from a trip to Samoa. would be good to hook up with some local surfers.
also keen to do a trip for a couple of weeks to surf somewhere in india during that time. any takers?

Hey Ben, was just doing a search for surf in India and came across this site. Im from WA, surf and do yoga as well. Im going to be in Chennai for january and half of February 2007. Im in fifth year medicine and will be doing a practical with Dr Krishna Raman (he is an Indian western-medicine trained doctor who has studied with BKS Iyengar since the age of 14). So should be a pretty interesting experience combining east and west together. Anyway, in short, will be super keen for surf, not expecting much, but even a grovel will be able to keep me sane. Maybe a trip to the islands could be on the cards. Be in touch, would be interested to hear how your yoga studies go.
