No such thing. You could be a mile inland, and if it's big enough it could still get you. Tell her chances are same as airplane falling out to sky.
Best advice: Leave her behind. If she's that afraid of tsunami, I wonder if she will travel very well in a third world country

Thanks Rick, but i beg to differ i would rather be on a high hill rather than low lying island, even if just tremor, gives her much better piece of mind.
Seems pitstop hill is the only one on high hill?

It is crazy to think in last 15 years or so we have seen a few pretty serious earthquakes and tsunamis in Sumatra , aceh quake and tsunami, then nias quake and tsunami that changed a number of waves in banyaks, Hinson, nias, then Padang quake that waspretty serious, then quake in south mentawais resulting in reef uplift to many waves, then tsunami that hit maccas, and like been said the big one s yet to come and redacted to affect major surfing area of mentawais..scary

As a geologist and very familiar w/ earthquakes, tsunamis, ect, I would say anyone planing their life around avoiding these things must live a rather frightened life. People fail to realize the number of things in their everyday lives that have the probability of affecting as much or more dramaticlly(death) than the odds of getting caught in an earthquake or tsunami
People are just aware of these things now because they're in the news
