hey i'm not a girl, but i had a ton of fun learning to surf in Gerupuk, which is a surf spot just 10 miles outside of kuta Lombok, which is a really great small village. Gerupuk has a lot of locals that will take you out on a boat, for cheap, to the surf breaks. some of those locals could possibly teach you. i recommend going to gerupuk, and finding a guy named Rendy, just ask around. He was so cool, nice, helpful, and helped me get into a bunch of waves.

Hello ! If you want to learn to surf, I recommend you BALI OCEAN SURF school. It's a French school and all of the instructors are graduated with the "brevet d'état surf". They are very Professional, they give you a lot of advices and courses are fun ! You should try. You can have a particular course but you can also meet other people if you're alone. Furthermore, instructors are really nice so they will share their experience in Bali with you (about what interesting things you could do during your trip). They have a website, it should correspond you. Bye
