correct, Foreigners are not allowed to own land in Indonesia...but there is other ways to invest like getting the land under "leasehold" or partnering up with a local land owner and/or other options...you may find many successful resorts owned/managed by foreigners with local partners in Tello and Mentawai Islands for example.
