Board Shapers on Bali« on: July 09 2006 20:07:00 »
Hey guys - I know that there are a lot of good board shapers on Bali and I would like to buy a new board. Is it only possible to get the boards in the shops in Kuta or does anybody know a place where I can get it directly from the shaper?

I'm sure there are good shapers in Bali, however, I'd be very suspect of quality. Seems like a lot of items sold in Bali are built to last just long enough till you leave the island. And nearly all the materials for boards are imported and taxed(heavly) so getting a board cheaper or even the same price (and quality) as the US, Aust., ect will be problamatic.

There are good boards in Bali, ut there are many suspect ones as well. Like most things in life if its cheap its normally of low quality the price is low for a reason.
I have been in the surfboard industry for a long long time & have dealings here in Bali so I know what I am talking about..
Be wary of cheap products .
