Myself and a mate are going to sail down to Simuelue in May, June and July. We have surfed all over the rest of Sumatra and Indo. I have spent nearly 7 years there over the last 15 years. We are just looking for a couple of people to share in the costs of the boat and contribute towards the cost of the trip. Drop me a line if you would like to join us on firstname.lastname@example.org.

Do It Do It Do It!
I love Simeulue - I've been there twice in the past year.
They've recently changed their prices too, to make it fairer for people who only want a land package.
Willy and Co. are en-route to the island with a brand new boat as we speak. They are top guys, lots of fun and more than willing to do whatever it takes to make sure their guests get good waves.
If Simeulue was a person, I'd marry it!

Been there, waves are about as good as Mentawai. Banyaks gets less swell. Simeulue is like Bali in 1960s. Surf everywhere. Enough said, for now.

I'll be back onboard Bohemian in June for the third time. Also done the Ments, G Land, Bali, North Shore, Porto E, etc. The Banyaks are unreal, the trip out and back through (up to you) the Hinakos and Nias has paid off too, although I'm partial to the more remote and uncrowded Banyaks myself.
Bohemian is a first rate, hard-core operation. No fluff, but comfortable (ac), excellent food, water maker, and top notch crew. Steve, the skipper, is a very knowledgable guide. He knows the area extreemly well and is a great guy.
The surf out there is SICK.
