there is one that leaves from bali called partama, that is really cheap. there is also a guy at uluwatu called doggy the man. they both have websites if you do a google search. or go to the carpark at uluwatu and ask for doggy the man. i went on partama it was good. 8 nights for about 700 bucks, all food and beer included.Doogy the man is even cheaper i think. both trips go over lombok and stop at desert point, super suck, scar reef and yo yo's. G-land is also pretty cheap too as the food is included. desert point is unreal if you score it

why dont you try mentawai islands, west sumatra? expensive if you come with boat trips. visit by your self and you'll get cheap. there are few cheap homestay at south siberut, 4 USD a nite include 3 times meals. or at sipora island, tua pejat and katiet. more than 2 breaks around the homestay and if you wants more just rent a small boat and you'll get good price with local surf guide.

if you want to die - i had the worst experience with this partama - thank you very much...
they are so cheap because they put no money into the security of the boat.
i rather pay a bit more but live longer..

Just got back from a boat trip in Indo. The boat was called Indocean. We had a great time. Just 7 of my mates, great wave and food.$800 odd bucks for a week and all food and booze. We are gunna make it a yearly boys get together. Good value for money and fun. Do your home work though! I had a look at some of the other boats and they are heaps of s...! No toilets etc. Disease factories.

Hey, i went with doggy the man about 2 years ago. The trip was alright but he basically just sub-hires out other boats himself (then again that is bali isn't it!!). The best boat trip I have ever done is on the Ria Wisata, I have done the trip 3 x with Wayan and his crew. He is the oldest and wisest captain that is doing the bali-lembogan-lombob-Sumbawa trip. Yeah we paid about $450.00 per person. Basically if you arrange it from Australia/internationally you will pay about double that, if you have the time and flexibility or contacts you can get it alot cheaper. Cheers, Have an awesome time.
PS. Desert point is an intense wave, i have seen some tragic injuries there

Howdy, been on a few of the boat trips over the years, maldives the ultimate but expensive. Good value are the lombok sumbawa boat trips, 3rd of the price and still cranking waves..word of advice, i got lured into one of the cheap trips off the street in bali, boat was overcrowded, food ran out, bodgy as f*&^!..went earlier this year with mates on a boat called indocean just 7 of us and it was cool. Deserts huge 1st day, dropped off on the 2nd day, got scar reef on also, hung there for 3 days. Liked the crew, food and beer aplenty.. check their site www.indocean.com
