i was wondering if anybody had some pointers on camping in indo. plan on traveling there and stayin for a while year plus. there is no certain area i am talking about, because i will be venturing all around. mainly pointers about the remote areas were there is near to nothing around.

You are only allowed to stay for 30 or 60 days at a time in indo. And camping, wouldn't advise you on it. have you even been to Indo before for a short period, before you start planning for a year?

yeah i read up on the visa situation. so i not worried about that( theres ways to deal with that). i was just wonder what its like to camp there because i never been there. i have taveled a good amount, i' ve dealt with alot of situations(can hadle anything) still here!

I understand what your saying. but if that what faith has for me. I guess. your right about checking stuff out, i wouldn't camp if the vibe wasn't right.

If you cant read the above then i wouldn't advise camping in Indonesia especially if you have never been there before anything can and does happen in Indo and everybody wants something from ya in some way so you would need really good negotiating skillls in Bahasa Indonesia.

I camped on panitian island for a month in 2003. Calculate how much water you need, most important. Big bags of rice are cheap, buy a kero burner and a rice steamer.+ you can buy fresh fish off the local fisherman who stay in the bay at night.
