Just graduated college thought an intense surf trip was in order. I have never been to Indo and I am lost. I have limited funds, after the flight, but lots of time. Looking for someplace cheap, uncrowded, with cool people and good waves. After doing some reasearch I get the impression that Bali is a great first timer spot but very crowded? curious as to what the best airport to fly into is? If any one has any suggestions and any input about how much money I'll be spending (per month most likely) I would greatly appreciate it. Thanks for all the help

Go to Kuta in Bali. VERY cheap, easy waves, easy to meet people. It is pretty tourist oriented and the waves can be crowded. But if it is your first time surfing and first time in Indo I would recommend it as your starting off point. Once in Kuta it is easy to find various ways around the island to get to different breaks. Bali is a small island, so if Kuta doesnt do it for you its a short trip to places like Uluwatu, padang padang, seregan, cangu etc etc.
