south sumatra surf« on: July 06 2008 18:07:00 »
got a trip going on to the south of sumatra. probably around Krui for 3 weeks. is there a good selection of waves there from beginner to intermediate? what are the crowds like? is accomodation possible outside of a surf camp but still on a nice right hander? is it possible to get over night bus from padang down?
Any info would be great.

The Waves are not good for beginners.
Maybe krui lefts when it decides to break but stick to high tide.
Karang nyimbor on the end section if small.
And dont paddle for good waves if a decent surfer will ride it better than you.
Dont paddle out in front of surfers riding, go behind them, take wave on the head.
